According to the NY Post, the suspension is automatic under FIFA rules and cannot be appealed, meaning the United States will have to face Belgium without one of its most important attacking players.

Balogun has been one of the key names for the USMNT in this tournament, so his absence could force Mauricio Pochettino to make a big change in attack. Ricardo Pepi could be one of the options to replace him, while Haji Wright and Christian Pulisic may also be considered in different attacking roles.
